BACKGROUND
Fisherman’s Friend remains a family business, producing over 5 billion lozenges a year. Its export- focused strategy sees the brand expanding rapidly in China. By 2000 the Fisherman’s Friend factory in Fleetwood had expanded to 600,000 sq. ft., in 1980 it was 34,700 sq. ft. with continued expansion of the site to meet the ever increasing demand for product. MIDDAS were selected to provide our M100 bi-panel product by JVX Ltd, the Lofthouse family’s contractor appointed to carry out extension works at the facility over the past 10yrs.
BRIEF
A requirement for a fully-flush, fire rated, bi-panel wall system for the enclosure of services and building elements with integrated windows, door sets and bespoke details to merge the extension with previous phases of work.
SOLUTION
MIDDAS were able to provide our M100 bi-panel, cleanroom wall system to meet all requirements for the project. Being fully tested and certified for fire rating to over 60 minutes. Flush glazing, door sets and column casings were supplied to cater for the various details within the design. Bespoke details were engineered to find solutions to the integration of the extension with existing areas.
